INDUGA has received an order from ThyssenKrupp Steel for a new steel strip coatring pot with channel-type inductors, new hydraulic pot lifting gear, plus a new zinc ingot feeding system. The equipment will be form part of an extensive upgrade of the FBA 7 hot-dip galvanizing line scheduled for mid-2008 at the customer's Bochum plant.
For lifting the new zinc pot, which may attain a total weight of as much as 500 tonnes, the existing screw jack system is to be replaced with hydraulic pot lifting equipment newly developed by Induga. Under a supplementary purchase order, Induga was also contracted to upgrade the control system for the second zinc pot and to carry out turn-key installation. The revamping project and re-start of the coating line are scheduled for July 2008.
