CMI Metallurgie, the Belgian equipment manufacturer, has ordered a stationary steel strip galvanizing pot from Induga in the context of a 3-stage modernization project for a continuous strip coating line operated by their final customer, SeverStal, at Cherepovets/Russia. Designed for a nominal capacity of 190 tonnes of liquid metal, the galvanizing pot will be equipped with two 450-kW channel-type inductors. The zinc pot is to be delivered mid-2008. The project schedule calls for hot commissioning of the plant in early 2009.
As early as 20 years ago, OTTO JUNKER had supplied coreless premelt pots and coreless coating pots for aluminium and aluminium/zinc alloy to SeverStal as part of a CMI project for two strip coating lines.
