For tundish heating in the steel works, INDUGA offers heating systems which keep the melt at temperature using plasma arcs.

Depending on the application, the systems which can be operated with DC or AC power are equipped either with water-cooled metal torches or special graphite electrodes. The plasma arcs are stabilised with argon. Where several torches are employed, the floor electrode can normally be eliminated.
Excellent temperature control and a clean, carburisation-free heating are assured in all cases.
