It was in 1924 that Otto Junker founded the company of the same name at Lammersdorf, some 20 km south of Aachen. The water-cooled mould for the NF semi-finished products industry, invented by his father, Andreas Junker, formed the economic basis of what was originally a craftsman's establishment.

Within a few decades OTTO JUNKER GmbH developed into a medium-sized industrial enterprise with a comprehensive product range.

Since the death in 1982 of its sole owner, Dr.-Ing. E.h. Otto Junker, the company has been owned by the Otto Junker Trust founded in 1970 for the Promotion of Engineering Training.

In the years to follow, the OTTO JUNKER Group has developed from OTTO JUNKER GmbH with its subsidiaries. Today the group is represented in the major markets of the world.
